Island Life
Fall In Love With The Ocean
Batts Rock Beach – with just a few steps away from the villa, you’ll find yourself on Batts Rock Beach, often considered one of the most sun-kissed and idyllic beaches in the region. Batts Rock also provides a lush wooded area that many visitors use for picnics.
Paradise Beach – paradise by name, paradise by nature! This beach’s quiet waters lends themselves well to swimmers, and the shallow rock formations may provide an opportune location for those interested in snorkelling. It’s connected to Batts Rock Beach, and shares the peaceful wooded area.
Paynes Bay – a strong contender for the best beach on the west coast. Selling points are its fine white sand, the safe swimming and the beach’s length: it’s a 20 minute stroll from end to end, and the northern half, away from the hotels, is usually uncrowded.
The icing on the cake is that out in the bay there are turtles to swim with. On the other side of the island you can also visit Crane Beach – Enterprise Beach – Accra Beach – which are all stunning beaches in Barbados.

The beautiful, clear and warm waters of the Caribbean Sea provide the best conditions for a variety of water-sports. Barbados is a popular destination for surfing, windsurfing and kite-surfing.
Other activities include water-skiing, kayaking, jet-skiing and banana boat rides.
Guests can also take catamaran trips that allow the immense beauty of the island to be seen from the water. The catamaran trips also provide the unforgettable experience to swim with turtles.
There are many Catamarans to choose from but our favorites are: Good times 40′ Catamaran – 16 people snorkeling with turtles, swimming and includes lunch on board and Silver Moon – lunch time and evening time cruises available. Private charters also available.
Culture & Sightseeing
Barbados has a rich heritage for those seeking cultural activities. Some of our favorites include the Animal Flower Cave, located at the most northerly point of Barbados in the parish of St. Lucy. Here, sea anemones are found in the pools of the cave.
There is a Restaurant, large children play-park as well as stalls and stores selling local jewelery, art and crafts. Harrison’s Cave which is one of the greatest wonders of the island.
There is also the very historical Sunbury Plantation House or more diversely a Mount Gay Rum Tour, a trip to the Caribbean Cigar Company or browsing in the Cricket Museum in Bridgetown, there is something for everyone.
Shopping For Everyone
There is a great deal of tax free shopping in Barbados, with prices typically being 30 to 50% less than in Europe and North America. When making dutyfree purchases be sure to have your passport and airline ticket with you. Monkey Hill is conveniently located near to Holetown in St James. Holetown is famous for it’s local, traditional shops at the Chattel House Village as well as the new Limegrove Lifestyle Centre that is full of international designer shops including Ralph Lauren, Louis Vuitton, Gucci and Villebrequin. Chattel Village shopping areas are becoming increasingly popular in Barbados. These feature shops made in traditional chattel house style and selling souvenirs, gift items, clothing and local arts and crafts.
You can also find these chattel villages in St.Lawrence Gap, Christ Church.
Other places to check out include Speightstown in St.Peter that feature craft shops and gift shops. Several shopping malls and plazas are also located outside of Bridgetown.
